How to remember the 7 times table
- 1
The 7s look the hardest, but if you know the 2s to 6s and the 9s, only two new facts are left: 7 × 7 = 49 and 7 × 8 = 56.
- 2
7 × 8 is easy to remember: 5, 6, 7, 8 → 56 = 7 × 8.
- 3
Split it into friendly parts: 7 × n = 5 × n + 2 × n. 7 × 6 = 30 + 12 = 42.
- 4
Order doesn’t matter: 7 × 9 = 9 × 7 = 63. Learn a fact once and you know two — and you already know part of this table from the others.
- 5
Division is multiplication backwards: 63 ÷ 7 = 9, because 7 × 9 = 63. Learn to multiply and division comes free.
